RePlastic Recycle — pioneering the next generation of plastic recovery through distributed coalition models — from the US Virgin Islands, commissioned us to create a human-centred animated explainer video series that brings their system to life through a warm, hopeful narrative focused on real community impact.
The story follows how island and coastal communities interact with a modular two-container solution: the first serving as a local plastic deposit point equipped with interactive HMI and AI-based optical sorting, cleaning, and shredding; the second transforming that processed plastic into durable building materials such as dimensional lumber, blocks, and roofing tiles.

At its core, the project highlights a closed-loop ecosystem where community members exchange plastic waste for value, generate local income and jobs, and gain access to affordable, locally manufactured construction materials. Rather than a tech-driven showcase, the animation emphasizes people, dignity, and opportunity using clean, modern visuals and calm pacing to communicate a grounded, NGO-style impact story across 60-, 30-, and 15-second formats.

Scenes
In a beautiful place, maybe where you live, plastic waste has made its home.
It collects along shorelines...

...roads, and near homes.
RePlastic Recycle is a modular recycling and manufacturing system designed for coastal and remote communities.
Families bring plastic to the system.
They deposit their plastic and earn real value in return.
Inside, it’s sorted, cleaned and transformed with advanced technology...
...into durable building materials right here in the community.
No export.
No dependence on outside processing.
No extraction of value.
The same plastic that once washed ashore becomes roofing tiles, lumber and bricks…
…and infrastructure that strengthens local homes and businesses.

Revenue stays local.
Jobs stay local.
Materials stay local.
Built to operate for decades.
Designed for real-world conditions.
Sized to fit within the community it serves.
Created for island and coastal communities everywhere.
